Edmond Connect

Edmond Connect, OK Community

Ever wondered where Edmond’s beer revolution began? Hint: It involves a college kid’s questionable homebrew experiments, a 100-year-old building, and a taproom big enough to host a small army of IPA enthusiasts. Meet Frenzy Brewing—where every sip comes with a side of local lore.

A Brewery With a Story

Frenzy Brewing Company didn’t just pop up overnight. Its roots trace back to the 1990s when co-founder Matt first experienced home brewing through his dad in Northern California. Meanwhile, Jeremy, another co-founder, was brewing some… let’s say, “experimental” beers during his college days at the University of Central Oklahoma. Fast forward a couple of decades, and these two beer enthusiasts joined forces to create something special. Frenzy officially opened its doors in June 2020 in the historic E.A. Bender building on South Broadway. The rest is history—and hops.

The Taproom: Big Space, Bigger Fun

Frenzy Brewing’s taproom isn’t your average hangout spot. It’s one of the largest brewery taprooms in Oklahoma, making it a go-to destination for locals and visitors alike. Whether you’re here for a casual pint or an all-out game night with friends and family, there’s plenty of room to spread out and enjoy yourself.

The space is family-friendly, too. Kids can dive into board games while parents savor a flight of craft beers. And if you’re hungry? You can bring your own food or order delivery from one of the many nearby restaurants in downtown Edmond. Oak City Pizza even delivers straight to your table—talk about convenience.

The Beers: A Little Something for Everyone

Now, let’s talk about what really matters—the beer. Frenzy Brewing has a rotating craft beer lineup that caters to just about every palate. Fancy something light and crisp? Try their Belgian Blonde, affectionately known as “Yeah Yeah Yeah (Cause I’m A Blonde).” Prefer something bold? Their Imperial Stouts pack a punch worthy of the metal gods they’re named after.

For fans of fruity flavors, options like the Peach Milkshake IPA or their watermelon-infused wheat beer are perfect for those summer evenings on the patio. And if you’re all about hoppy goodness, Frenzy’s New England IPAs deliver tropical notes that’ll make you feel like you’re on vacation (even if you’re just escaping work for an hour).

Events That Keep You Coming Back

Frenzy Brewing isn’t just about drinking beer—it’s about creating experiences. The brewery frequently hosts live music performances featuring local artists, trivia nights like “Geeks Who Drink,” and even quirky events like their Near Beer Olympics. These events turn an ordinary evening into something worth talking about.

And if you’re into fitness (or at least pretending to be), check out their Frenz Walks/Runs—a fun way to earn your next pint guilt-free.

A Community Hub in Downtown Edmond

What makes Frenzy Brewing truly special is its connection to the community. The owners are long-time Edmond residents passionate about their city and its people. By setting up shop in the historic E.A. Bender building, they’ve preserved a piece of Edmond’s history and created a gathering space unlike any other in town.

Whether it’s families playing board games, friends catching up over beers, or live music filling the air, Frenzy Brewing has become more than just a brewery—it’s a cornerstone of downtown Edmond life.
