A Legacy That Stands Tall

KickingBird Golf Club is no rookie in the game. Built in 1971 as Edmond’s first municipal golf course, it quickly became a cornerstone for local golf enthusiasts. It’s hosted prestigious tournaments like the Oklahoma Open from 1979 to 1985 and has shaped the careers of notable golfers like Danny Edwards and Dr. Gil Morgan. Today, it remains active with events such as the Oklahoma Golf Association’s Boys State Junior Championship.

But don’t let its age fool you—KickingBird isn’t stuck in the past. A $21 million renovation, completed in 2023, has transformed the course into a modern masterpiece while preserving its competitive spirit.
